She was raised and educated in Minneapolis and was a graduate of West High School. Mrs. Ervin then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology from the University of Minnesota in 1941. On November 26, 1943, she was married to Robert Dean Ervin in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Mr. Ervin preceded her in death on September 12, 2004. After their marriage, she and Mr. Ervin resided in Minneapolis for several years before moving to Lebanon in 1952. She worked at Witham Memorial Hospital as a Lab Technologist from 1954 – 1969. She retired to become a homemaker. Mrs. Ervin was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her family she enjoyed needlework, gardening, painting and travel. She was a dedicated volunteer, active in the Library, Project Literacy, Meals on Wheels and she was the first director for the volunteers at Witham Memorial Hospital.
