She was a daughter of the late Hershel Lee and Goldie Millie (Miller) Brashear. At a young age, Charlene moved from Illinois to Boone County, Indiana where she was a 1943 graduate of Zionsville High School. On May 1, 1943, she was married to Stephen B. Huckleberry in Union Township; they later divorced. Charlene had worked in retail for Adler’s in Lebanon and retired in 2003 from Lazarus in Indianapolis. In addition, she sold real estate for a period of time. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Charlene was known to be a wonderful cook, she also enjoyed her family and their activities as well as reading, gardening and flowers. Memberships: American Legion Auxiliary V.F.W. Auxiliary Visitation will be held at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2015.Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at the funeral home in Lebanon, with Chaplain Sharon Bierman, officiating.Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
