Fife passed away January 12, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born a daughter to the late Ralph and Thelma Mary (McRoberts) Padgett on March 24, 1943 in Hamilton County, nearSheridan, Indiana.Charlotte graduated from Lebanon High School in 1961. On June 10, 1961, she was married to James L. Anderson, Sr., they divorced and together, they had three children. On December 4, 1983, she was married to James E. Fife in Lebanon, Indiana. Mr. Fife survives.In 1978, Charlotte went to work for K-Mart where she worked for over 17 years, retiring in 1995 when the store closed. While working at K-Mart she returned to school completing her degree in Secretarial Sciences at Ivy Tech in 1982.Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed playing the piano, crafts, reading, writing poetry, movies, but most of all, the time spent with her family. Mrs. Fife wrote poetry for family and friends on special occasions and many of her poems were published by the International Library of Poetry. She was awarded the Editor’s Choice Award on several occasions.
