Charlotte J. Lee

Mrs. Charlotte Jewell Lee, 80, formerly of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away Tuesday morning, August 14, 2018 at her home in Avon, Indiana. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on December 9, 1937; the daughter of the late Robert and Sarah C. (White) Baker. Raised in Indianapolis, she was a 1956 graduate of Ben Davis High School. On August 27, 1955, she was married to Franklin Arvine “Frank” Lee in Indianapolis, Indiana. He passed away on September 5, 2010. They had shared fifty-five years together. The family moved to Lebanon in 1975 where she had resided until recently moving to Avon. Through the years, she had worked for Eli Lilly and served as the manager of The Waffle House in Lebanon for 15 years. Charlotte was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker who enjoyed her family and their activities. With a loving and caring heart, Charlotte filled her home with those who may have needed her help or a place to stay. She raised her two younger brothers, a grandson, and took care of others along the way. She loved cooking, baking, and participating in her bowling league. Survivors include: Five Children: Franky A. (Gary) Genier – Avon, Indiana Kelley R. (Paul) Kearney – Indianapolis, Indiana Zarth A. Lee – Lebanon, Indiana Tierney C. (Mike) Newnum – Lebanon, Indiana Gunnar L. Lee – Lebanon, Indiana Ten Grandchildren: Nevada Gentry Jessica Lee Blanton Gentry Whitney Aiken Taylor Aiken Charli Genier Clint Kearney Mason Lee Aden Lee Roman Lee Eight Great Grandchildren: Lawson Aiken Lincoln Whitehead Talon Gentry Corbin Aiken Trace Gentry London Gentry Ziva Katsande Onyx Katsande Brother: Robert Baker – Indianapolis, Indiana In addition to her parents and husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by a sister, Deloris Webster; three brothers, Jerry Baker, Max Baker, and Tom Baker; daughter-in-law, Amber Lee and a grandson, Lake Newnum. Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with Pastor Nick Wilkes, officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.
