A life-resident of Boone County, Ivan graduated from Kirklin High School in 1937.On October 14, 1939, he was married to Julia Francis (Moore) Padgett in Terhune, Indiana. Mrs. Padgett passed away on June 6, 1996.Ivan farmed for many years. In 1971, he moved to Lebanon and began working at the Lebanon Community School Corporation as a custodian.He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Sunday dinner at Ivan’s house was the place to be. He always looked forward to Sunday’s when family would gather for a meal. He enjoyed playing Euchre and Dominos.Memberships: Former member of Fairview Congregational Christian Church in Lebanon Indiana Farm Bureau Marion Township Euchre ClubFuneral Services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana, with Jim Kyle, officiating.Visitation is planned for Saturday, October 19, 2013, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon.Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
