Darlene Brannon

Mrs. Cheryl Darlene Brannon, 72, formerly of Lebanon, went to meet Jesus face to face on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on January 31, 1948; a daughter of the late Robert C. and Joan (Harris) Ranney. A long-time resident of Boone County, she attended Pinnell High School and was a 1966 graduate of Granville Wells. Darlene was previously married to Jim Dinsmore, and Michael Shearer. Michael preceded her in death in 1996. She married William “Bill” “Smoke” Brannon, on April 22, 1999; he survives. She was a certified nurse assistant and a certified social services advocate at Springfield Nursing Home in Indianapolis, prior to retirement. She attended The Ark Church in Miamisburg, Ohio. She also volunteered with the Cincy Street Ministry “Team Jesus” and was a co-founder and the prayer warrior of Ladies Night Christian Fellowship in Lebanon, Indiana. Darlene was kind to all, had an infectious personality and was a ray of light. She was adored by all who knew her and loved her family fiercely. Sweet Darlene represented Jesus to everyone who met her, both with compassion and humor. Friends and extended family are invited to view Darlene’s service at 11:00 a.m. on the Myers Mortuary Facebook page. Interment will follow services at Old Union in rural Jamestown. Memorials may be made in her memory to Wheeler Mission or any homeless charity of your choice.
