Dewayne "Stubby" Warren

Age: 82 City of Residence: Lebanon, Indiana Date of Death: Tuesday, August 12, 2014Place of Death: in Greencastle, Indiana Dewayne “Stubby” Warren was born in Marshall County, Indiana, on May 13, 1932, a son to the late Russell Dale and Nora Adeline (Hall) Warren. Dewayne was a 1950 graduate of Tippecanoe High School. He then enlisted in the United States Army, stationed in Frankfort, Germany, where he drove a truck to haul food for the mess hall. He served his country honorably from 1955 - 1957. He worked as a truck driver from the age of 15. For 34 years, Dewayne drove from Lebanon to Chicago and back, retiring in 1998. For many years, he volunteered with the Boone County Civil Defense. A man of strong faith, Dewayne attended Roachdale Christian Church in Roachdale, Indiana. He enjoyed traveling to various gospel music concerts with his many church friends. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Albion American Legion. Funeral Services are to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the funeral home in Lebanon.Interment with Military Rites will follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Boone County, Indiana.
