Donavon Thorpe Stanger

Donavon Thorpe Stanger, 8 years old, passed away Christmas Day, December 25, 2023, at his home in Jamestown. He was born on April 24, 2015, in Indianapolis and became the son of Linda Gayle Thorpe–Stanger and Randy L. Stanger. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lebanon. Survivors include mother and father, Linda G. Thorpe-Stanger and Randy L. Stanger; thirty-two siblings, William Michael Thorpe – Indianapolis, Casey (Shannon Carter) Thorpe – Indianapolis, Larry Thorpe, Jr. – Lebanon, Eddie Thorpe – Jamestown, John Thorpe – Gowen, Michigan, Christopher Thorpe – California, Christopher McMillian – Lebanon, Chris Manyak – Jamestown, William Levi Thorpe – Indianapolis, Topeka Thorpe – Jamestown, Brandy (Brad) Schroeder – Indianapolis, Felicia (Verdale Brown) Thorpe - Indianapolis, Angie Thorpe – Jamestown, Mary Thorpe – Jamestown, Ashley Nicole Thorpe – Jamestown, Sarah Jo Thorpe – Jamestown, Debbie (Curtis Roberts) Thorpe – Lebanon, Amanda Thorpe – Terre Haute, Chelsey Thorpe – Jamestown, Hannah Thorpe – Indianapolis, Brianne Thorpe – Jamestown, Breona Denay Thorpe – South Bend, Sarah Renee Thorpe – Jamestown, Ashley Elizabeth Thorpe – Crawfordsville, Laura Shimie Thorpe – Crawfordsville, Joseph Arman Thorpe – Lebanon, Ben Hecht – Jamestown, Bisrat Stanger – Iowa, Blessing Stanger – Rockville, Emily Thorpe–Stanger – Lebanon, Jaquan Thorpe-Stanger – Jamestown, and Eliana McLaughlin; nieces and nephews, D’Shawn, Austin, Brooklyn, Amelia, Jackson, Lyryc, Emma, Will, Jordan, Erin, Annabelle, Mabel, Rebecca, Bentley, Aaliyah, Dakota, and Waylin; and special caretakers, Carol Dickison, Emily Thorpe-Stanger, and Laynden Lewis. He was preceded in death by ten siblings, Christina M. Thorpe, T. J. Young, Timothy Blades, Jacqueline N. Thorpe, Jasmine N. Thorpe, Robert D. Becker, Aaron Thorpe, Edith Soto, Randy Thorpe, and Allonia McLaughlin. Funeral Services are planned for 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2291 Witt Road, in Lebanon. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow services at the Old Union Cemetery, rural Jamestown. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to Myers Mortuary to help offset funeral expenses.
