Doris L. Batts

Mrs. Doris Lorene Batts, 83, passed away Monday evening, July 20, 2015, at her home in Lebanon surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 15, 1931 in Lebanon, the daughter of the late Buren Ivan and Violet Olive (Bollinger) Clossin. A life-long resident of Lebanon, Doris graduated from Lebanon High School in 1950. On October 23, 1950, she was married to Orville Victor Batts, Jr. in Lebanon. He passed away December 19, 2007. Doris went to work at Commercial Filters in 1979 and retired from there in 1996. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed her family, camping, traveling the United States, and playing Yahtzee with Bonnie. Private Funeral Services are planned for Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with Rev. Merv McNair, officiating. Private Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Boone County, Indiana. Survivors: Five Children: Gary L. Batts and wife, Cindy Lebanon, Indiana Larry L.
