Dorla P. Haboush

Mrs. Dorla Pearl (Lucas) Hawkins Haboush, 96, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born October 21, 1919 in Lebanon, a daughter to the late Roley Nelson and Golda Mable (Harmon) Lucas. A life-resident of Lebanon, Mrs. Haboush was a 1937 graduate of Lebanon High School. On August 12, 1945, she was married to Harry Dale Hawkins in Lebanon. Mr. Hawkins passed away on August 9, 1967. She was then married to Joseph Arvine Haboush on May 2, 1969 in Lebanon. Mr. Haboush preceded her in death on June 4, 2001. Mrs. Haboush had worked as a general office manager for Montgomery Ward in Lebanon and for Dr. Weddle until 1947. For a period of time she worked as a bookkeeper at the Boone County Bank. In 1954, she went to work for the Lebanon Community School Corporation, retiring in 1971. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she loved her family dearly. She enjoyed reading and frequenting the public library. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home in Lebanon. Private Family Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. Hawkins – San Diego, California Kenneth E. Hawkins and wife, Hui Hui – Washington DC Emily Borders and husband, Shawn – Bloomington, Indiana Sarah Bosk and husband, Andy – Bloomington, Indiana Five Great Grandchildren: Nicholas Borders Chloe Borders Annabelle Borders Natalie Bosk Naomi Bosk In addition to her parents and her husbands, Mrs. Harboush was preceded in death by a brother, Roley Nelson Lucas, Jr. Memorials may be made in her honor to Boone County Cancer Society, 117 West Elm Street, Lebanon, Indiana 46052.
