He was born in Sod, West Virginia on May 6, 1939 to the late Roy J. and Bessie (Pauley) Spears. On December 29, 1984, he was married to Janet (Lenz) Spears in Boone County, Indiana; Janet survives.Earnie came to Indiana in 1962 and worked for a number of years pouring concrete. Following his retirement from Waste Management, he repaired mowers and small engines as a means to keep busy.He attended the Lebanon Wesleyan Church which was a big part of his life. He loved living life to the fullest. He always enjoyed family get-togethers and loved watching and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed talking classic cars and other things with friends at Hardee’s almost every morning. Every year he and his wife would travel to West Virginia to ride ATVs in the mountains.Funeral Services are planned for Thursday, August 1, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with Rev. Dr. Morris Jones and Rev.
