She was born in Madison, Indiana on March 17, 1923 to the late Wilburn Walter and Leota (Denney) Mickel. She was reared and educated in Indianapolis, where she graduated from Manual High School. Following high school, she attended nursing school.On October 20, 1945, she was married to Francis Albert Busald, in Indianapolis. Mr. Busald passed away on May 17, 1986.Betty was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon and was active in the Altar and Rosary Society (Women’s Club) for many years. She was an active member of Western Boone Athletic Boosters. Betty also was involved with the Santa Rosa Historical Society in Milton, Florida, where she lived from 1990 to 2007. In Florida and Indiana, she was active in quilting guilds. For ten years, Betty worked as a visiting nurse for the Boone County Cancer Society. She was a dedicated homemaker and matriarch of her family. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. Officiating: Rev.
