Emalou Isfalt

Emalou Isfalt, 88, of Lebanon, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 20, 1926, a daughter of the late Frank Johnson and Alice Elizabeth (Creamer) Waggener. As a little girl, she and her family moved to Washington Township. She attended Washington Township and Thorntown Schools. Mrs. Isfalt graduated from Lebanon High School in 1944. On June 25, 1944, she was married to Lester Reynolds and they later divorced. She then married Charles Isfalt on August 1, 2001 in Thorntown; he passed away February 26, 2015. Emalou worked in the Recorders office for 16 years, eight of which she was Recorder. She then worked for American States Insurance Company as an executive secretary for 18 years, retiring in 1992. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, playing euchre and cooking. Memberships: Bethesda Baptist Church – Brownsburg Mechanicsburg Christian Church American Legion Auxiliary – Thorntown Post 218 Order of Eastern Star - Lebanon Auxiliary Chapter of PSI Iota XI Three euchre clubs. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation is planned for Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana. Survivors: Sons: Terry Reynolds and wife, Julie – New Palestine, Indiana Randy Reynolds and wife, Vickie – Colorado Springs, Colorado Daughter: Patsy Burgin and husband, Ed – Lebanon, Indiana Six Grandchildren: Sarah Reynolds Amy Reynolds Bret Burgin and wife, Lisa Craig Burgin and wife, Leisa Nikki Barclay and husband, Steve Pattie Wylie and husband, Matt Great Grandchildren: Brandon, Barrett, Beau and Marabeth Burgin Reyna, Brooklyn, Jessie, and Emmy Step Son: Rodney Isfalt and wife, Rebecca Step Grandchildren: Daniel Isfalt and wife, Jolene Kyle Isfalt Andrew Isfalt and wife, Shannon Jonathan Isfalt and wife, Melissa Many Nieces and Nephews Deceased: In addition to her parents and her husband, Emalou was preceded in death by a brother Jim Waggener and a sister Patsy Ann Waggener.
