Age: 80 Widowed City of Residence: Dayton, Ohio and formerly of Lebanon, IndianaDate of Death: Wednesday, June 18, 2014Place of Death: At Oak Creek Terrace in Kettering, Ohio Mrs. Emily Jean Large was born in Indianapolis, on July 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Edgar Wilbur and Emily Teresa (Abeele) Cooney. Mrs. Large attended Southport High School in Indianapolis and Indiana Business College. On February 14, 1977, she was married to William Otis Large in Jamaica. Mr. Large passed away on March 6, 2010. Mrs. Large was a real estate broker owning her own business, Emily Large and Associates, retiring on June 30, 1999. After her retirement, she moved to Englewood, Florida and in 2011 she moved to Dayton, Ohio where she had since resided. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she took great pride in her family. She was known to be an animal lover and had a special place in her heart for cats and dogs. Memberships: Incarnation Catholic Church in Dayton, OhioMemorial Services are planned for 3:00 p.m., Sunday June 22, 2014, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with Rev. Jerry Disbro, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon.A Memorial Mass will be held in her honor at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 319 East South Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
