Nay, Jr. was born in Sheridan, Indiana, on September 19, 1923. He was a son of the late Olive (Raines) and Frank E. Nay, Sr. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1941 and attended Indiana School of Mortuary Science. Following school, Frank enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably during World War II. On June 4, 1947, Frank was married to Wilma Jean (Rawlings) Nay in Sheridan, Indiana. Mrs. Nay passed away on March 22, 2007. In 1949, Frank and Wilma moved to Thorntown and purchased the Crane Funeral Home. In 1956, he received his insurance and real estate license and operated offices in both Thorntown and Lebanon, retiring in 1987. Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. Interment with military rites will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown, Indiana.
