Idella Duvall

Idella (Wright) Duvall of Perry Township, Boone County, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was surrounded by her family. She was born on July 20, 1932, near Waugh in Boone County to the late Chester Avadore and Estella (Ramsey) Wright. On March 13, 1948 she was married to David William Johnson in Boone County and they later divorced. Idella then married Henry “Hank” Duvall in Boone County on November 2, 1967 in Boone County, Indiana. He passed away on September 7, 1994. Idella attended Sheridan High School. She had lived in Boone County her entire life. She was a faithful member of El Bethel Baptist Church in Avon until her health began to decline. Idella retired in 1985 from Western Electric in Indianapolis after 26 years of service. She was a member of the DAR, James Hill Chapter in Lebanon, Indiana and was an avid Purdue fan. Visitation will be held at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana 46052 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Funeral Services are to be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary,. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana Survivors include Five children: Wayne (Rhissa) Johnson of Brownsburg Sandy (Jerry) Isenhour of Brownsburg Steve (Michele) Johnson of Lebanon David (Patty) Johnson of Lebanon Kim Carnes of Lebanon Five step children: Ronald L. Duvall of Florida Rick (Pam) Duvall of Indianapolis Teresa (Carl) Collins of Lebanon Patty (David) Johnson of Lebanon Dina Duvall of Lebanon Fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, ten step grandchildren, and twenty-three step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Idella was preceded in death by five siblings; Melba Ruth Wright, Marda Faye Stephenson, Orpha Mae Stafford, John Edward Wright, and Donzel Lee Wright; one step-son; Henry Duvall, Jr.; four grandchildren, Jenny Isenhour, Amy Isenhour, Angie (Isenhour) Jones and Lindsay Johnson.
