James "Buck" Wyatt

Age: 86 Widowed City of Residence: Lebanon, IndianaDate of Death: Saturday morning, January 25, 2014Place of Death: At his residence in Lebanon, Indiana Mr. James Allen “Buck” Wyatt was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on April 23, 1927. He was a son of the late Verlin and Hazel Urcie (Apple) Wyatt. A lifelong Boone County resident, Buck attended Pinnell High School. He was then drafted into the United States Army-Air Corp. in June 1945. He attended basic training at Camp Atterbury. After basic training, he served in Guam, Tinian, and Saipan of the Mariana Island Group, South Pacific. He was honorably discharged in November 1946. Following his service, Buck returned to Boone County and began working for the Boone County Highway Department for three years and then the Boone County Locker Plant for six years. On April 6, 1964, he went to work for Commercial Filters in Lebanon where he was classified as an Erector and retired from there. He was first married to Donna (Bougher) Wyatt in Lebanon, Indiana, they were later divorced. On July 16, 1971, he was married to Mary Ann (Whitaker) Trips Wyatt in Lebanon. She passed away on January 3, 2006. Buck enjoyed his family and their activities. In addition, he had many hobbies including gardening, cooking and fishing. He was also a sports enthusiast and enjoyed rooting for the Chicago Cubs, Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. Memberships: Attended New Brunswick Church – Lebanon, Indiana Boone County Conservation Club Local # 7651 District 30 of the United Steel Workers Union Funeral Services are to be held on Friday, January 31, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Lebanon from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2014.Interment with military rites will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
