He was the son of the late David Earl and Loudella (Wills) Anderson. He attended schools at Lindbergh, Whitestown, and was a 1944 graduate of Lebanon High School. Following school he joined he United States Army Air Force where he served his country honorably. In 1950, he graduated from PurdueUniversity with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.On August 2, 1947, at the Browns Wonder Church in Lebanon, Indiana, he was married to Donna Mae (Hedge)Anderson. She survives.After obtaining his professional engineering license from the State of Indiana, he traveled for Viking Pump out ofCedar Falls, Iowa for 32 years as a manufacturing representative.
