Sloan[/caption] Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.Visitation is planned from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon.James O. “Jim” Sloan, age 73, of Lebanon died in Friday, August 24, 2012, in Indianapolis. Jim was a native of Lebanon, Indiana, born on February 16, 1939. His parents were the late Myron Sloan and Cora Irene (Angleton) Sloan Turner.Jim was reared and educated in Perry and Harrison Townships in Boone County. He graduated from Perry Central High School in 1957, and later attended Butler University in Indianapolis. He moved to Lebanon in 1959.Jim married Charlotte Louise (Moss) Boone in 1959, in Lebanon and they later divorced. On December 1, 1967, in Lebanon, he was married to Meridith Ann (Stoner) Sloan. Mrs. Sloan survives.He had first worked at the Herr Elevator in Boone County. In 1962, he began working for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis. He worked as at Eli Lilly as a Production Technician 3, before retiring in 2006. Mr. Sloan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending various sporting events. Throughout his life, Jim was especially interested in those sports that involved his children and grandchildren.Memberships: First Baptist Church – Lebanon, IndianaOfficiating: Rev.
