Hollingsworth was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on April 5, 1934, the son of the late James Emmett and Velma M. (Tanselle) Hollingsworth. Reared and educated in Boone County, he was a graduate of Pinnell High School, class of 1952. Following school, Jim was drafted into the United States Army and served his country honorably from 1956 to 1958.On June 12, 1953, he was married to Ruth Ann (Peabody) Hollingsworth at the Old Union Church in Boone County, Indiana. The Hollingsworth’s had just celebrated their 60th anniversary this month with family and friends.For several years, Jim had worked at Pitman Moore, now known as Dow Chemical. For over eighteen years, he was the production control manager at Biddle Precision Components in Sheridan. He then went to work for Indiana Mills and Manufacturing, retiring in 1998. During his retirement, Jim worked part-time at Myers Mortuary.Jim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. He was in a bowling league for nearly 30 years.Memberships: Old Union Church in Boone County Masonic Lodge # 690 – Clinton County, Indiana Order of Eastern Star # 22 of Lebanon Past Grand Patron of the Indiana Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star 1995-96 Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana.Interment will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Jamestown, Indiana. Visitation is planned for Tuesday, June 25, 2013, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon.
