Judith Psikula

Judith K. Psikula, 72, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at her home in Lebanon surrounded by her loving husband and children. She was born in Anderson, Indiana, on May 5, 1943, a daughter of Vivian (Makepeace) Best and the late Joe Best. She graduated from Markleville High School and then attended Ball State University where she attained her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Business Education. On July 23, 1966, she was married to Stephen J. Psikula in Anderson; he survives. They had spent 49 loving years together. Judy taught business in Frankfort, New Castle, and Plymouth before moving to Lebanon with her husband and family. In Lebanon, Judy became the office manager for Parr, Richey, Obremskey and Morton. Upon retirement from the law office, Judy was appointed to the Witham Hospital Board by the county commissioners where she served for 16 years (1996 – 2012). During this time she took part in the planning and building of the new Witham Hospital and was selected by the Chamber of Commerce as the Healthcare Professional of the year. Judy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a friend to many. Visitation is planned for Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with The Rosary beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 319 East South Street, in Lebanon at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, February 29, 2016, with Rev. Timothy Kroeger, officiating. Interment will follow services at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
