He was the son of the late Sherman and Mossie (Williams) Smith. At the age of sixteen he moved to Boone County, Indiana.On September 11, 1949, Leo was married to Carolyn Sue (McRoberts) Smith in Lebanon, Indiana. Mrs. Smith survives. For several years he farmed in the Elizaville area of Boone County , Indiana. Leo also worked for Vandivier Trucking and Farm Bureau Co-op as a truck driver before retiring in the late 1980’s. Leo was devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
