Leon Breedlove

Mr. Leon E. “Grease Monkey” Breedlove, 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at his home in Lebanon surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lebanon, Indiana on January 22, 1935, a son of the late Ernest Lewis and Elizabeth Mae “Libby” Breedlove. Leon enlisted in the United States Army following school and served his country honorably. On June 17, 1955, he was married to Shirley “Mae Mae” Breedlove at the Pleasant View Church in Lebanon. After 57 years of marriage, Mrs. Breedlove passed away on March 27, 2013. Leon worked as a mechanic for UPS in Indianapolis for twenty-five years. He also owned and operated S & L Crafts in Lebanon for thirty years along with his wife. S & L Crafts is currently owned and operated by their granddaughter, Samantha and her family. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Leon loved his family and the times they spent together. Memberships: Pleasant View Church – Lebanon, Indiana Visitation is planned from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at the funeral home in Lebanon, with Rev. Glen Jewell, officiating. Interment with military rites will follow services at Pleasant View Cemetery in Boone County, Indiana.
