"Lewie" McCluskey, 71, died Tuesday afternoon, May 7, 2013, at Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis.Born in Lebanon, Indiana, on May 17, 1941, Lewie was the son of the late Lloyd E. and Letha Areva (Reveal) McCluskey. A life-resident of Lebanon, Lewie was a 1959 graduate of Lebanon High School. Following school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in Orlando, Florida. He served his country honorably until 1964.On November 11, 1961, he was married to Janie Lynne (Banta) McCluskey in Orlando, Florida. Mrs. McCluskey survives.After his service in the military, he returned to Lebanon where he was employed at Boone County Hardware for Hale Burgman. For a period of time he worked for the Boone County REMC in the office and also was a groundman for the outdoor crew. He then went to work for Commercial Filters in Lebanon until his retirement. During retirement, Lewie worked for Myers Mortuary for a number of years. He also worked as a yellow shirt at the Indianapolis 500 for twenty-five years.As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather he loved his family, took pride in his children and his grandson. In addition, he enjoyed golfing, football and NASCAR. Memberships: Centenary United Methodist Church in Lebanon, Indiana Lebanon Jaycees Sertoma Club of Lebanon Funeral Services are planned for Friday, May 10, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with Rev. Jim Ramsey and Rev. Marcy Patrick, officiating.Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon.Interment with military rites will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.Survivors: Wife: Mrs. Janie L.
