Lorraine Bevington

Alma Lorraine Bevington, 88, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. Lorraine Bevington was born January 29, 1927 in Boone County, Indiana. She was a daughter of the late Glen Beck and Agnes (Campbell) Beck. Lorraine was the widow of Devon L. Bevington who died June 18, 2003. Lorraine was a lifelong resident of Boone County. She attended Washington Township grade school for six years and then attended Dover Junior and Senior High School for six years, graduating from Dover High School in 1945. While there she was a member of band and choir. Lorraine had worked at Pitman Moore in Zionsville and P.R. Mallory in Frankfort. She was a member of the former New Salem Congregational Christian Church, and later attended the Mechanicsburg Christian Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 23 of Lebanon and the Dover Dubble Dozen Home Demonstration Club of Dover. Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and entertaining them in her home. No Visitation is planned. Graveside Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Pleasant View Cemetery in Boone County, Indiana. Survivors: Sons: Don Bevington and wife, Alicia – Sheridan, Indiana Robert Bevington and wife, Donna – Lebanon, Indiana John Bevington and wife, Marilea – Lebanon, Indiana Garry Bevington and wife, Rita – Thorntown, Indiana Seven Grandchildren: Kim Bishop and husband, Stephen – Sheridan, Indiana Jill Achor and husband, Jon – Lebanon, Indiana Kristin Swick and husband, Tim – Indianapolis, Indiana Brad Bevington and husband, Rick Brownfield – Indianapolis, Indiana Kelly Goode and husband, Scott – Indianapolis, Indiana Blaine Bevington and wife, Christine – Brownsburg, Indiana Bobbi Jo Amour and husband, Rob – Thorntown, Indiana Eleven Great Grandchildren: Logan, Treyton, and Bryson Achor Madeline and Charlotte Swick Trevor and Travis Bevington Aaron and Brady Goode Cade and Lexi Bishop One Great Great Granddaughter: Emma Goode In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by a grandson Jason Bevington in 2013; sisters Pauline Miller, Mildred Morrison and Marie Roush.
