Lowell F. McCoy

Lowell F. McCoy, 77, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born on March 19, 1941, in Indianapolis, to the late Homer and Marjorie (Devine) McCoy. Lowell’s mom later married Norman Terry, Sr., who was a wonderful step-father to Lowell. Lowell attend school in Indianapolis. He served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1959-1963. Lowell was also known to many as “Killer”. He was first married to Carol Cordell; she passed away on November 18, 1978. On June 22, 1985, he married Bea L. (Griffin); she survives and they shared thirty three years of total love and devotion. Lowell retired as a truck driver from Wrecks, Inc. in Whitestown, working over thirty years. He also worked many years at Auto Outfitters. He was a Christian man with a strong faith in God and attended services at Wheeler Mission in Indianapolis. In his free time, Lowell was a collector of diverse items with various interest. He was a member of the American Legion Post 113 in Lebanon. Survivors include: Wife: Bea McCoy-Lebanon, Indiana Brothers: Clifford (Sue) Smith-North Port, Florida Homer (Dora) McCoy-Fort Wayne, Indiana Norman (Laura) Terry-Whitestown, Indiana Sisters: Greta Zeralsky-Lebanon, Indiana Sandy Manual-Beaumont, Texas Patty (Rodney) Smithley-Bradenton, Florida Several Nieces and Nephews Special Friends: Ron and Shelly Hall- Lebanon, Indiana In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by children, Lowell McCoy, Patty McCoy, Marcenda McCoy, Leandra McCoy; brothers: George, Jimmy, and Komer McCoy; and one sister, Norma Schultz. Funeral Services are planned for Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana 46052. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, October 3 at the Funeral Home in Lebanon. Entombment with military rites will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
