She was born in Chalmers, Indiana on December 1, 1940 to the late Leo and Marie (Bessler) Garing. She was reared and educated in Kentland, Indiana, where she attended Good Hope Grade School and graduated from Kentland High School in 1958. Following high school, she attended nursing school in Indianapolis.On July 11, 1959, she was married to Wayne Joseph Mathew, in Kentland, Indiana. Mr. Mathew survives.Marilyn worked as an LPN for several healthcare facilities, most recently at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. She was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon. Mrs. Mathew was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed every moment spent with her family.
