Age: 89 WidowedCity of Residence: Indianapolis, Indiana and formerly of Boone County, IndianaDate of Death: Wednesday, December 31, 2014Place of Death: At St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis Mary Maxine Dickerson was born in Lebanon, Indiana on August 23, 1925, a daughter of the late Charles O. and Geraldine (Wines) Stevens. On April 6, 1943, she was married to William Ernest “Ernie” Dickerson, in Lebanon, Indiana. After 67 years of marriage, Mr. Dickerson passed away on April 13, 2010. In Lebanon, Maxine attended Lindbergh and Stokes Elementary schools and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1943. During World War II she had worked at Winkler’s in Lebanon and later for RCA in Indianapolis. Maxine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker. She loved tending to her grandchildren. Her favorite past times included taking pictures and sewing, especially doll’s clothing. For many years, she enjoyed teaching Kindergarten Sunday School and being a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.
