Michael L. Gillihan

Michael Lynn Gillihan, 57, passed away at his home in Jamestown, on Monday, April 18, 2016. He was born on January 20, 1959 in Denver, Colorado, a son of Janet J. (Olkjer) Gillihan and the late Bill L. Gillihan. Having moved to Indiana in the early 1970s, Michael attended Lebanon High School. Following school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. where he served his country from 1977 – 1985. On September 19, 1991, he was married to Jama (Haughton) Gillihan in Lebanon; she survives. Michael had worked in Lebanon for C.F. Jones as a Construction Superintendent for the past 19 years. He held memberships with the First Baptist Church in Lebanon and the National Rifle Association. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Michael enjoyed hunting and shooting sports. He was an avid supporter of the Boone County 4-H and Special Olympics organizations. Michael was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed helping his family with their 4-H livestock. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral Services with military rites are planned for 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home in Lebanon. Survivors: Mother: Janet J.
