Age: 60 City of Residence: Lebanon, IndianaDate of Death: Friday, September 06, 2013, at 3:55 a.m.Place of Death: St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, IndianaMr. Michael Joseph O’Neal was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on August 17, 1953, a son of Shirley Frances (Hathaway) O’Neal and the late Cedric Carter “Ted” O’Neal. He was reared and educated in Ohio and Indiana and had lived in Kokomo and Frankfort prior to moving to Lebanon. He attended Lebanon Schools and enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country honorably from 1972 – 1974.Michael was previously married to Sharon O’Neal in Birmingham, Alabama. She preceded him in death. For a number of years he was a companion to Eileen O’Neal.Mr. O’Neal worked as a cross-country truck driver for about twenty years. He was an employee of several independent firms and spent part of that time self-employed. A free spirit, Mike enjoyed living in various parts of the United States. He had resided in many places including Seattle, Washington, New Orleans, Louisiana, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Birmingham, Alabama. The past five years he had spent in Lebanon where he had been an employee at Prairie Industries about two of those years.Time spent with his family and helping with the Meals on Wheels program brought great joy to Michael. He was an avid reader and loved music. He served as an organist at St. Joseph Catholic Church before leaving Lebanon.Visitation is planned for Monday, September 9, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 319 East South Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013, at the church following the visitation.The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Lebanon, with Rev. Timothy Kroeger, officiating.Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, is handling the arrangements.Survivors: Mother: Mrs. Shirley F.
