She was the daughter of the late Asa Clarence and Della Elzina (Roth) Warren. She was a 1933 graduate of Lebanon High School and The Approved University of Beauty Culture inIndianapolis. As a Master Hair and Cosmetologist, Mrs. Harlos was self employed at her home near North Salem for several years. She also worked for the State as an Inspector of Beauty Salons.On September 26, 1940, Mildred was married to Glen Lavere Harlos. After 64 years of marriage, Mr. Harlos passed away January 5, 2005.Following their marriage, the couple farmed in Putnam County near North Salem until Mr. Harlos retired in 1984. The couple moved to Lebanon about 1986. Prior to Mr. Harlos’ passing, they sold over 100 acres of land to the Hendricks County Park Division, now known as the McCloud Nature Park. Mrs. Harlos was a devoted wife. She enjoyed crafts, hobbies and flower gardening. In addition, she enjoyed living and participating at Crown Pointe where she considered all residents and staff as part of her loving family. Through the Friendly Visitor’s Program, Midge became connected with Jeannie Brandenburg. What began as a casual friendship grew into a loving relationship. Jeannie fulfilled the role of a daughter. They shared many good times.
