Norma Stricklin

Age: 78 City of Residence: Syracuse, Utah and formerly of Lebanon, IndianaDate of Death: Thursday, November 20, 2014 Place of Death: At a relative’s home in Lebanon Norma Jean Stricklin was born in Boone County, Indiana, on March 6, 1936, a daughter of the late Dorman Robert and Mary Josephine (Vanausdall) Farris. She attended Lebanon High School. Norma was first married to Darrell Dean Sparks in 1954, they divorced. In 1965, she was married to John Stricklin in Casper, Wyoming, and after many years together, they divorced. While in Wyoming, Norma had lived in Casper, Cody and Laramie. For a period of time she lived in Missouri and Colorado and returned to Lebanon in 1992. She then moved to Texas in 1998, back to Indiana in 2001, and recently had lived in Utah. She was visiting in Lebanon when she became ill. Norma was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Elks Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and playing Bingo. Funeral Services are planned for Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana, with Pastor Mike Meadows, officiating.Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at the funeral home in Lebanon.Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
