Crawford was born in Carmel, Indiana, on June 3, 1931, a son to the late William Herbert and Wilma (Bogan) Crawford.Norman was a graduate of Kirklin High School in 1949. He then attended Purdue University and graduated with a degree in Economics in 1953. Following his schooling, Norman enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably.On August 24, 1957, in Lebanon, Indiana, he was married to Barbara G. (Bischoff) Crawford. Mrs. Crawford survives.He was a long-time resident of Indianapolis and worked as the Commercial District Manager for Indiana Bell for thirty-two years.Mr. Crawford was a devoted and compassionate man who deeply loved and cared for his family. He enjoyed the out-of-doors, fishing and camping. MEMBERSHIPS: St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Indianapolis American Legion in Indianapolis Masonic Lodge in IndianapolisFuneral Services are to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 100 West 86th Street, in Indianapolis, Indiana, with Dr. Linda McCoy, officiating.Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday, November 15, 2013.Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirklin, Indiana.
