Age: 84 Married City of Residence: Lebanon, IndianaDate of Death: Thursday, August 7, 2014Place of Death: St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, IndianaRonald Lee Peabody was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on November 3, 1929, the son of the late Wayne Hackett and Gaylon A. (Overleese) Peabody. He was a 1949 graduate of Lebanon High School and attended Emery Riddle School of Aviation. Ronald was a veteran of the United States Air Force, Airborne Division, and had served his country during the Korean War. While in the service he worked as a radio repair mechanic. He was first married to Mary Lou (Shirley) Peabody in Lebanon, Indiana, they later divorced. On January 17, 1978, in Lakeworth, Florida, Ronald was married to Mary Ilene (Boyer) Padgett Peabody; she survives. His career was spent in the printing industry where he had worked for Shumate Business Forms in Lebanon and Studio Press, Hilltop Press, and White Arts Printing, all of Indianapolis. While working as a printer, Ronald continued to farm with his father in the evenings and on the weekends. He retired from working in 1990. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he loved his family dearly. Ronald enjoyed flying, fishing, and playing pool. He was very mechanical and skilled at working with his hands.
