Age: 58 MarriedCity of Residence: Lebanon, IndianaDate of Death: Sunday, June 15, 2014Place of Death: At St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, Indiana Roy Lewis Cotton, 58, of Lebanon, passed away at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis on Sunday, June 15, 2014, after a ten year battle with heart disease caused by a virus. He was born in Warsaw, Indiana on October 31, 1955, to the late James R. and Virginia M. (Moore) Cotton. In 1957, he and his family moved to Wadsworth, Ohio then in 1970 they moved to Lebanon where he had since resided. He was a 1975 graduate of Lebanon High School. Following school, he enlisted in the United State Navy and served his country honorably. On February 23, 1980, he was married to Janice A. (Bowman) Cotton in Lebanon, Indiana. She survives. Roy had a passion for woodworking, his employment included master carpentry and construction. He was the owner of Cotton Construction and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all of his clients. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Richard Burdett and Jim Kyle, officiating.Visitation is planned for Friday, June 20, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon.Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
