Alexander was born in Indianapolis, on September 1, 1914, a daughter of the late George H. and Ella Mary (Hahn) Neffle. Reared and educated in Indianapolis, Ruth attended Shortridge High School.On June 5, 1935, she was married to Albert James Alexander. Mr. Alexander passed away on November 1, 1991.From 1959 – 1967, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander owned and operated a Dairy Queen in Indianapolis. She was employed by Meyers Trucking and worked as a bookkeeper for them from 1965 – 1970. The next four years, Ruth worked at Calico Alley Fabrics. The Alexander’s moved to Lebanon in 1980.She was a devoted a wife, mother, and grandmother. Ruth and her husband enjoyed square dancing and were affiliated with many clubs.Memberships: Lebanon Christian Church in Lebanon Lebanon Chapter # 23 Order of Eastern Star Funeral Services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with Rev. Brad Miller and Kyle Hunter, officiating. Visitation is planned for Saturday morning, December 7, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home in Lebanon.Interment will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.Survivors: Two Children: Mrs. Sharon R.
