Ruth Cleon Linton

Mrs. Ruth Cleon Linton, 71, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at her home in Lebanon. She was born in Thorntown, Indiana, on April 15, 1944, a daughter of the late Ammon Lyle and Ruby Marie (Reagan) Davis. In 1962, she was married to James Steward in Thorntown, they divorced. She then married Phillip Prickett in 1963 in Frankfort and they later divorced. On May 5, 1973, she was married to Carl Leon Linton in Thorntown. Mr. Linton passed away on February 18, 1992. After receiving her dietician’s certification, Ruth had worked at several area facilities including, Koala Hospital, Witham Memorial Hospital, and Mapleview Rest Home all in Lebanon. She also worked for a period of time at Cowan’s Drug Store. Ruth loved her family dearly and was extremely proud of each of them. She enjoyed working puzzles and watching Westerns on television. Ruth was an avid fan of NASCAR, the IU Hoosiers, and Indianapolis Colts. Visitation will be is planned for Monday, April 4, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
