Susie Mae Kaylor

Susie Mae Kaylor, 94, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Essex Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Richmond, Kentucky on December 6, 1923, the daughter of the late John Talbort Cox and Reanetta Mae (Parke) Cox. Raised in Richmond, Kentucky she attended Union City Schools. She married Charley L. Kaylor on February 10, 1940 in Lancaster, Kentucky; he passed away September 23, 1996. Susie’s early years of marriage were spent in Kentucky and later moved to Lebanon with her husband where she had lived since 1966. She had worked as a nurse aide at Oak Park Manor from 1967 – 1976. A person committed to her family, Susie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Susie loved taking care of her family and home. She attended the Nazarene Church in Lebanon. Survivors include: Sons: Lonnie D. (Sherry) Kaylor-New Castle, Indiana Danny D. (Arlene) Kaylor-Billings, Montana Dwane W. (Marsha) Kaylor-Indianapolis, Indiana Terry L. Kaylor-San Diego, California Daughters: Dixie S. (Jerry) Surovchak – The Villages, Florida Joyce Lee Bauer-Noblesville, Indiana Janice C. Sherman-San Diego, California Eureka L. (Billy) Quattlebaum-McCormick, South Carolina Bonnie L. Kaylor – Thorntown, Indiana Nina Kaylor-Shannodale, Indiana Twenty Four Grandchildren Twenty Four Great Grandchildren Fourteen Great-Great Grandchildren One Sister: Joy Johnson-Richmond, Kentucky In addition to her parents and husband, Susie was preceded in death by a son, Bennie Franklin Kaylor; one grandson; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; sisters, Anna Cox, Frances Moore, Geneva Masters, Maymie Lee Kelley, and a brother, John Ralph Cox, II. Visitation is planned from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018, at the funeral home in Lebanon; Pastor Harold Baumer will be officiating. Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be given to Union City Baptist Church, 2502 Doylesville Road, Richmond, Kentucky 40475.
