Ted was raised in Milwaukeeand moved to Lebanonduring his high school years. He graduated from Lebanon High Schoolin 1945. On August 3, 1945, Ted joined the United States Navy and served his country honorably until his discharge on August 16, 1946. Following WWII, he attendedPurdue University. On August 30, 1947, in Indianapolis, he was married to Patricia Lou “Pat (Wolfington) Biggerstaff. She passed away on December 22, 1995. Ted was an auto mechanic. He first worked with his father at Auto & Truck on South Indianapolis Avenue in Lebanon. He then owned and operated Muffs & Tails in Lebanonand Crawfordsville for many years.Mr. Biggerstaff was devoted to his family. He enjoyed many interests and activities including; bowling, fishing, camping, Purdue college basketball,IndianapolisColts and NASCAR. Musically inclined, Ted sang with a barber shop quartet for many years.
