William "Bill" Erickson

Erickson, of Lebanon, Indiana, formerly of New Richmond, IN, died peacefully on April 10, 2013.He was born in Annandale, Minnesota on October 30, 1926, a son of the late Joseph and Elsie (Gill) Erickson. Upon graduation from Annandale High School, he was drafted into World War II. After being honorably discharged, he attended the Minnesota School of Business and also completed business courses at the University of Minnesota.On August 12, 1950, he was married to Mary Patricia Munstenteiger, at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Maple Lake, MN.Bill worked for the REMC's for 46 years, starting in Maple Lake, MN and then moving in 1953 to Central Power Electric in Minot, ND as office manager. In 1968, he became manager of RSR Electric at Milnor, ND. In 1975, he moved to Indiana as manager of Tipmont REMC at Linden, IN where he retired after 20 years of employment in 1995. Bill was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lebanon, IN. He was a past member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Crawfordsville, IN for 32 yrs. Other memberships included, the Knights of Columbus, Elks, American Legion, VFW, Eagles and Moose Lodge.He loved to ballroom dance, hunt and fish. Surviving Bill are his wife Mary of Lebanon, IN; his four daughters, Becky and husband Duane Flaagan from Pekin, ND, Cindy and husband Bob Arnold from Lake City, Iowa, Jill and husband David Asher from Lebanon, IN and Jacqueline and husband Daniel Schlichting from Uvalde, Texas. Surviving grandchildren include four grandsons, four granddaughters and two great grandchildren. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 319 East South Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, on Monday, April 15, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Dave Hellman, officiating.Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. The Rosary will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. after the visitation.Interment with military rites will follow at the Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery in Crawfordsville, Indiana.Memorials in Memory of William Erickson may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lebanon, Indiana.
