Mrs. Anna Mae Hartsock, 97, of Lebanon, went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2019, at Signature Healthcare at Parkwood. She was born on September 30, 1922, a daughter to the late Firm and Edna (Williams) Highland. Anna Mae was a graduate of Lebanon High School’s class of 1940. She married Robert Cleo Hartsock, and they celebrated their 69th anniversary in July 2009. Anna Mae was a lifelong member of Otterbein United Methodist. She served as a Sunday school teacher and trustee for many years and was a long-term member of the church’s sewing and quilting circle. She also volunteered as a tutor at Hattie B. Stokes Elementary, delivered meals for Meals on Wheels, and enjoyed exercising at Curves and Silver Sneakers. She became a member of Cedars of Lebanon Women’s Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) in 1958, serving as president for many years. In 2010 she visited a second-generation pen pal in Salisbury, Australia, and attended the WCTU World Convention in Adelaide with World President Sarah Ward. Anna Mae was also charter member of the Hoosier Heritage Quilt Guild. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who took great pride in her family and their activities. She and husband Cleo loved to travel, visiting 48 of the 50 states. Anna Mae is survived by her children: Mikki Randolph of Indianapolis, Larry (Kathy) Hartsock of Brownsburg, and her late son’s fiancée Nancy Young of Florida; grandchildren, Andy (Amy) Hartsock of Carmel, Amy (Kevin) Raider of Brownsburg; five great-grandchildren; and sisters Margaret Hawkins and Glorena Goode of Indianapolis, and Clara Brace of California. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cleo Hartsock, son Rodney Hartsock, brothers Sam and Gene Highland, and sisters Martha Rose Harmon and Mary Louise Irick. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Anna Mae will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
