Carol A. Straub

November 15, 1956 - April 12, 2022

Mrs. Carol Ann Straub, 65, passed away Tuesday morning, April 12, 2022, at her home in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 15, 1956, a daughter of Rosalea Fern (Gilbert) Hicks and the late Charles “Charlie” Gilbert Hicks. On August 18, 1979, she was united in marriage to George Steven “Steve” Straub in Lebanon. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2005. Carol was a graduate of Lebanon High School. She had worked as an electronic assembler for American Monitor, Diversified Systems, and Allied Solutions. Carol was a faithful member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Lebanon. In her free time, she enjoyed drawing, crafting, and family time. Survivors include her mother, Rosalea Hicks; two children, Serena (Ronnie) Hale and George Christopher “Chris” Straub; three grandchildren, Hailie D. Hale, Eli Hale, and Peyton Hale all of Lebanon; sister, Brenda L. Hicks of Indianapolis; brother, James M. (Jane) Hicks of Kempton, Indiana; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her father and her husband, Carol was preceded in death by a brother, Joe A. Hicks. Memorial Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial of Ashes will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
