Charlotte S. Summers

Charlotte Sue Summers, 78, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on July 3,1943, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Frank C. and Otha Edna (Shelley) Bailey. She attended Lebanon High School and on October 27, 1962 she was married to William “Peanut” Summers, Sr. He preceded her in death in 1993. Charlotte was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother who enjoyed crafting and taking care of her home. She will be remembered as a loving, kind, and a generous person who always put her family first. Survivors include her three sons: Matthew (Angela) Summers of Lebanon, William (Teresa) Summers, Jr. of Darlington, Christopher Summers of Lebanon; daughter, Kimberly (Eric) Clanton of Jamestown; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, David (Denise) Bailey of Jamestown, Larry (Christine) Bailey of Oklahoma City; sister, Teresa (Patrick) Molen of Stilesville; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and Jerry Bailey. No services are planned at this time. Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with her cremation arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
