David Alan Asperger

David Alan Asperger, 74, of Lebanon Indiana passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021, surrounded by his family and loved ones, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born November 9, 1947, in Indianapolis Indiana; a son of the late Otto and Dorothy (Asperger) McCauley, as well as step-son of late Albert McCauley. David was a graduate of Northwest High School, and he continued his education by attending Indiana Bible College where he aimed to become a pastor. He later went on to own and operate a restaurant named “Big Hoss Pizza” in Indianapolis for many years. David was the type of person who did not know a stranger; he could befriend just about anybody. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and never failed to put a smile on every person's face he encountered. David also thoroughly enjoyed watching cowboy western shows, such as “Gun smoke” in his free time. David is survived by former spouse, Lynn (Asperger) Welch; son, Andrew Deborah) Asperger; sister, Louise McGrew, grandchildren; Andrew Asperger, Zakk Jordan, Joshua (Paige) Asperger, Savannah Asher, Samantha Asperger, and Boehn Asperger; great grandchildren, Allen Asperger, Tristan Asperger, Brinley Asperger, and Matthew Asher. In addition to Otto and Dorothy (Asperger) McCauley, David is preceded in death by his son Bryan Asperger. At David’s request, no visitation or services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to assist the family with their expenses.
