Eric W. Cannaday

January 7, 1962 - January 25, 2021

Eric Wayne Cannaday, 59, of Kirklin, Indiana passed away on January 25, 2021 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. He was born on January 7, 1962 in Noblesville, Indiana, the son of Charlene (Essex) Cannaday and the late Dale Cannaday. He was a 1980 graduate of Noblesville High School. Following high school, he attended one year on a wrestling scholarship at Indiana Central, now called University of Indianapolis. On October 22, 1983 he was married to Tammy D. (Campbell) Cannaday; she survives. Eric was a welder for Gem-Rose, Corporation in Noblesville. He was the Founder/President of “The Stihl Club”, where he and his friends enjoyed cutting down trees. He also enjoyed Blue Grass festivals, camping, canoeing, gardening and just the simple things in life. He was devoted to and adored his family. He is survived by his mother, Charlene Cannaday of Noblesville; wife, Tammy Cannaday of Kirklin; children, Tara (Josh) Bowen of Frankfort and Cody (Cheyanne) Cannaday of Michigantown; grandchild, Keaton Cannaday; brothers: Bruce (Jami) Cannaday of Nappanee, Indiana, Chad (Katy) Cannaday of Troy, Michigan; sister, Candie (Al) Crosby of Fitzpatrick, Alabama along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Eric was preceded in death by a nephew Jason Bevington. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. noon at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon, Indiana. Graveside Services will follow visitation at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. Memorials may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association.
