Lee Wilson

Riley Lee Wilson, 81, of Kirklin, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Franciscan Hospital in Lafayette. He was born in Goshen, Indiana on January 21, 1936, a son of the late Robert Leroy Wilson and Vira M. (Donat) Wilson. On November 9, 1957, he was married to Suzanne Marie (Kiste) Wilson in Indianapolis. She preceded him in death on April 14, 2003. Raised in Zionsville, he attended Rome City High School. He served as a Military Police in the U.S. Army from May 1954 to May 1958. Lee was a Zionsville EMS and Reserve Police Officer in the early 1970’s. Shortly after, Lee became a self-employed trucker followed by forty years with Wilson Cabinet Shop, specializing in cabinet and furniture making. He then worked for the Local 60 Carpenter Union, retiring in 1998. Lee attended Terhune United Methodist Church and was involved in both Clinton and Boone County Antique Tractor Clubs. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Survivors include: Three Sons: Michael L. Wilson – Lebanon, Indiana Chris L. (Mary) Wilson – Frankfort, Indiana Robert D. (Angela) Wilson – Lebanon, Indiana Many acquired sons including Kenny (Lora) Simpson-Lebanon, Indiana Companion: Evelyn Akers-Lebanon, Indiana Grandchildren: Chelsea (Zach) Conwell– Kirklin, Indiana Dylan Wilson and Fiance, Victoria Lewis-Colfax, Indiana Caryn Wilson-Lebanon, Indiana Conner Wilson-Lebanon, Indiana Jonathan Wilson- Honolulu, Hawaii Chad Wilson-Lebanon, Indiana Two Great Grandchildren: Breccan Conwell-Kirklin Kaiden Wilson-Lebanon, Indiana Aunt: Venita Parker- Goshen, Indiana In addition to his parents and his wife, Lee was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Wilson and sister, Shirley Wilson Funeral Services will be on Friday January 12, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Hopewell Cemetery, rural Lebanon.
