Marilyn Iva Wall, 89, formally of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away on July 3, 2020 at Auberge Assisted Living in Austin, Texas. She was born in Earlville, Illinois on April 12, 1931. Her parents were Ada C. (Simpson) Rader and Verno Rader. She was a 1949 graduate of Lebanon High School. On January 19, 1951 she was married to Donald Irwin Wall in Eureka, Illinois. They shared 60 loving years together before he passed away in 2011. Marilyn’s membership included: Otterbein United Methodist, Boone County Historical and Boone County Genealogical Society and she was a member of the Business and Professional Women in Boone County. In 1950, she and her late husband opened Wall Jewelry on the corner of Noble and Lebanon Streets in Lebanon. They later moved the store to South Meridian Street, then to its final location on West Main Street on the Courthouse Square. Marilyn and her husband were well-known in Lebanon for providing quality service and merchandise. After working in the jewelry business, she retired as Deputy County Clerk for Boone County. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Marilynn took great pride in her family and enjoyed traveling and spending winters on the south Texas coast in Fulton. Survivors: 2 Daughters: Peggy Wall and husband, Frank Kurzawa of Austin, Texas Portia Pearl of Kingsland, Texas 5 Grandchildren: Joshua R. Bravo of Carmel, Indiana Teri Jo Alexander and husband, Clyde of Jamestown, Indiana Diana Lee Moore and husband, Lee of Cypress, Texas Julie Pearl and partner, Jeremy of Corpus Christi, Texas Robert Pearl and wife, Mariela of Webster, Texas 12 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren In addition to her parents and husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia A. “Patty” Wall; two brothers, Charles Rader and George Byron Rader. She was also preceded in death by her biological father, George Berry Dance, who she never met. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 25 at the funeral home in Lebanon. Following CDC guidance, the family request guests to wear masks and please practice social distancing during visitation and services. Interment will follow services at Old Union Cemetery in Jamestown, Indiana. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Boone County Historical Society.
