W. Jean "Jeanie" "Gaga" Swisher

November 8, 1930 - January 26, 2022

Mrs. Jean Swisher, 91, passed away Wednesday evening, January 26, 2022, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 8, 1930, in Clinton County, a daughter of the late Ora W. and Florence Ruth (Powell) Burgess. On February 20, 1949, she was united in marriage to William Cox Swisher in Shannondale, Indiana. They had celebrated 48 loving years together before he passed away on December 29, 1997. Jean was a 1948 graduate of Dover High School. She was a faithful member of Pleasant View Church where she served as Deacon Emeritus. She and Bill operated two farms that were Heritage Farms. GaGa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jean always enjoyed time spent being with her friends. Survivors include her daughters, Elaine (Jerry) Williams of Thorntown, Teresa (Dennis) Brannon of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Matthew (Kayla) Williams, Megan Williams, Erika Brannon, Colby Brannon; three great grandchildren, Camden, Emmy, and Elle; sister, Rosemary Martin; extended family, John and Rhonda Bowman and family; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Lowell and Alice Burgess; brother-in-law, Melbourne Martin; and niece, Connie Martin Wells. Private Funeral Services will be held at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Steaming of services will be after on Myers Mortuary facebook page after Monday, January 31. Burial will take place at Pisgah Cemetery in Montgomery County, Indiana. Memorials may be given in her memory to the Humane Society for Boone County, P.O.
