She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on December 5, 1938, a daughter to the late Paul and Wanda (Ferrand) Bundy.Mrs. Arend was reared and educated in Terre Haute, Indiana and had resided there until moving to Indianapolisin 1957. She and her husband lived in Amarillo, Texas for twenty years and returned to Indianapolis in 1987. They moved to Boone County in 2000.On April 1, 1955, in Terre Haute, Indiana, she was married to Donald Raymond Arend. Mr. Arend passed away on November 26, 2005.Mrs. Arend worked at the Howard Johnson’s Hotel in Champaign, Illinois as the Executive Housekeeper where she implemented her way of cleaning and the hotel has made it their cleaning practice to this day. She worked as a housekeeper for Homewood Health Care Center in Lebanon and with the children at I.D.T.C. in Indianapolis.A devoted wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother, Carmen enjoyed spending time with her family. Her hobbies included reading, listening to music, and writing poetry.Memberships: Mrs. Arend attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon.Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana with Rev.
