Doris V. Linedecker

Mrs. Doris Virginia Beasey Linedecker, 94, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016, at her home in Lebanon. She was born in Peru, Indiana on November 9, 1921, a daughter of the late Rev. Milo Grover Huffman and Clara Louise (Bollman) Huffman. She was a Peru High School graduate of 1939 and had attended Manchester College. On November 9, 1941, she was married to Glenn Robert Beasey in Peru, Indiana and they later divorced. She later married Albert “Liney” Linedecker in Lebanon, Indiana on March 31, 1967; he survives. Mrs. Linedecker moved to Lebanon in 1945. She worked for six years at J & L. Steel Co. and then for Metzger Wholesale Company as a Bookkeeper and retired from there in 1974. She was also a devoted homemaker. Doris had studied music while in college and loved playing the piano. Her talent led her to play for her church in Peru. Also a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Lebanon, she enjoyed spending time at church and being around people. Doris was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was extremely proud of her family. Funeral Services are to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation is planned from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
